GREENVILLE, SC (December 10, 2007) – Upstate residents are working together to honor and assist our troops – especially those severely injured fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. A patriotic fundraising banquet will be held on May 15, 2008, with proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.
U.S. Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC) joined in the local effort. “I’m thankful that America’s finest are on the front lines defending our freedom around the globe. When our men and women in uniform return home with injuries, our number one priority is to care for their needs. Wounded Warrior Project has become a key element in the aid of our injured soldiers and provides a network for our injured heroes to be rehabilitated. I’m happy to support the Wounded Warrior Project, as they support America’s finest,” Inglis said.
