The self proclaimed "King Of Pickens County" was born in 1975. After receiving his first hunting rifle at the tender age of 3 from Diddy, many figured Maffew would wind up a celebrated hunter or fisherman. Who knew he would end up with a job where he could wear camo to work everyday that wouldn't involve a gun or fishing pole.
Mattman loves and is very proud of his 4 year old daughter Grace. He enjoys South Carolina Gamecocks football, Indianapolis Colts football, ice cold Bud Select beer, driving golf carts, hunting, fishing, and waiting for his next encounter with a UFO (not neccesarily in that order).
His favorite musicians include Nine Inch Nails, KoRn, A Perfect Circle, Coldplay, Juggernaut, System Of A Down, and Johnny Cash.
Mattman says his mentors in life are his Diddy, Ric Flair, Bill Elliott, Peyton Manning, David Kopelson, and Jay Owen.
Matt considers Skip one of his best friends, but that could soon end if Skip doesn't stop emailing him pictures titled something else that turns out to be GAY PORN when he downloads it.
One of Mattman's claim to fame in the radio industry was when he took a young lad under his wing that wanted to be in radio. The shy, young man said he'd do anything to be a part of New Rock 93.3 The Planet. So, Matt made some calls and arranged some meetings and NINE became the legend he is today.
