Pendleton Pride In Motion's (501C3) FRIENDS OF THE PARK would greatly appreciate your promoting the following important dates either by posting and/or public service announcements. Additional information is attached. Thank you.
MAY 1, 2008 DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR PENDLETON TALENT ALL STARS.
Talent All Stars forms are available at Pendleton Flower Shop, Islander, and Pendleton Home Builders. Contestants must be amateurs living in the school district 4 area. There will be 4 categories: 12 & under, Teenager, Adult, and Senior Citizen (60 & over). Musicians, Singers, Dancers, Gymnast, Jugglers, etc. are wanted for this big event.
Forms must be mailed in before May 1 to Ruth McKay. For more information, call Ruth at 646-6917.
MAY 15, 2008 Thursday AUDITIONS FOR PENDLETON TALENT ALL STARS - Pendleton High School 6:30 pm - for Contestants and Parents only. Must be Pre-registered prior to May 1 and must be an amateur living in the school district 4 area. Registration forms available at Pendleton Flower Shop, Islander, and Pendleton Home Builders. There will be 4 categories: 12 & under, Teenager, Adult, and Senior Citizen (60 & over). Judging will be based on talent, creativity, presentation and personality. JUNE 19, 2008 - Thursday PENDLETON TALENT ALL STARS - Pendleton High School. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5/Adult and $3/children. For more information, call Ruth at 646-6917. 4 finalists will be chosen (12 & Under, Teenager, Adult, and Senior Citizen (60 & over) and will perform at FREEDOM FEST on June 28 at Veterans Park. The public will be given the opportunity at FREEDOM FEST to vote for the winner by donating $1.00 in the ballot box designated for each of the four finalists. The winner will be announced at 9 pm that evening before the fireworks.
JUNE 28, 2008 Saturday FREEDOM FEST at Veterans Park in Pendleton 5:30 - 10pm FREE ADMISSION. Bring your own chair and come early for an impressive Opening Ceremony and enjoy the delicious food, games, and music. There will be a charge for food and some activities. Pets, alcohol, tobacco products, or coolers are not allowed inside the gate. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. All profits to benefit Veterans Park.
Freedom Fest is a fun family tradition sponsored by PPIM’s Friends of the Park with a patriotic theme featuring live music, dancing, children’s games, horseshoe tournament, bingo, great food, Talent All Stars Finale, a bake sale and a spectacular fireworks display that rivals any in the area.
